Rock Climbing

Guano Caves Resort is home to Rock n Roll Kloof, one of the most popular climbing destinations in Montagu.

The Kloof was originally discovered by Tony Lourens and developed by Tony and other locals in Montagu, then soon after Richard Halsey was instrumental in developing a slew of excellent hard routes.

Rock n Roll Kloof now has a huge amount of excellent sport routes from grade 18 to 28 and also a bunch of good trad routes from grade 17 to 23/4, and there is still heaps of good rock to develop.

Situated in a Kloof cleaved into the mountains, Rock n Roll has a somewhat wild and remote feel about it.

Over the last 6 months it has grown enormously in popularity and will keep on growing, as it has some of the best and most varied climbing in the whole of Montagu.

Entry Fee: Entry per rock climber is R50 pp (Does not include access to pools and other activities at Montagu Guano Cave Resort)
